COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL: SAN DIEGO
A California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, the San Diego Comic Convention also known as Comic-Con International aims to raise the public’s awareness of and appreciation for comic books through public presentations, conventions, exhibits, museums, and other public outreach activities that celebrate the past and present contributions of comics to art and culture. By participating in events hosted by this organization, teens can connect with other comic book fans.

AVENGERS INITIATIVE

The Avengers Initiative is a volunteer organization that promotes interest in Marvel comics through the making and wearing of costumes, facilitates the use of such costumes for Marvel comics-related events, and contributes to local communities through costumed charity work. The organization also has a branch called Avengers Mid Pacific for its members who reside in the Mid-Pacific region. Through this organization, teens can dress up as their favorite Marvel characters while also making a difference in their communities.

COMIC BOOK COLLECTORS CLUB

The Comic Book Collectors Club is an organization devoted to facilitating online discussion around comics. The club aims to use its online medium to provide access to comics and preserve the tradition of comic collecting for future generations of readers. Through this organization, teens can engage in conversations with other teens and readers who share their love of comics.
Under the club’s free Bronze Membership, comic book fans can gain instant access to the members-only areas of the blog and forum.
