After being banished from Asgard (his homeworld), Thor (a member of the Avengers) must reclaim his powers on Earth while being hunted by an invasion force sent to destroy him. This film serves as a good introduction to Thor, a member of the Marvel superteam known as the Avengers. This film is perfectly suited for teens interested in comics at the Pearl City Public Library because it is rated PG-13, has ties to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is freely accessible at the library.
